The Old School House is situated in a quiet, leafy lane, adjacent to the beautiful 1,000 acre Trelowarren country estate and close to the Helford River.
Built in the 1870's as a school for boys, the house has been tastefully renovated to provide interesting and spacious accommodation.
DOWNSTAIRS ACCOMMODATION INCLUDES:
A fully equipped Large kitchen with electric cooker, large fridge freezer, microwave, automatic washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, coffee percolator, cafettiere, blender etc. There is a large breakfast table and chairs. Outside door has steps down to the garden. There is an extra fridge in the hallway.
The downstairs cloakroom has hanging space for coats, a large cupboard housing the iron/ironing board etc., and a W.C., hand basin and heated towel rail.
The large sitting/dining room has very comfortable furniture, a new log burner, which takes logs only, a large extending dining table and chairs, and French doors onto stone steps which lead down into the garden. There is a large flatscreen smart LED Television, DVD player and telephone. There is also a front door, protected by heavy curtains, leading onto the lane.
The second sitting room is attractively furnished with leather sofas, a fireplace and French doors onto stone steps leading down to the garden. This room has a small flatscreen LED TV, a music centre, and a piano. There is also a small library for those who like to read on holiday, plus games and activities for children.
All the ground floor rooms have beamed ceilings.

Bedroom 1 has single bed, chest of drawers, a hanging rail for clothes, and a chair.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a chair.
Bedroom 3 has a double bed, a chest of drawers, two bedside sets of drawers, a large wardrobe, a chair and a stool.
Bedroom 4 has a King size bed, large fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers, two bedside tables and two chairs.
There is a Bathroom with bath and shower over, hand basin and heated towel rail.
Separate W.C. with hand basin.
Separate Shower Room with extra large shower cubicle, bidet, hand basin, W.C. and heated towel rail. This is next to bedroom 4 and can be made into an en-suit if desired via a small lobby.

The ground floor and the landing are heated by night storage heaters and the bedrooms by programmable electric wall heaters.
Logs for the wood burner must be KILN DRIED ONLY and are available to purchase locally.
Outside, the very sheltered, south facing garden, is laid to lawn with mature shrubs and trees and is bounded by a stream.
The stream is behind a stone wall where it runs close to the house, but is accessible further down the grounds, where it runs along the boundary of the private woodland. In total there is half an acre of grounds attached to the school house. Plenty of space for BBQ's, children's playtime etc.
There is a shed with garden furniture, a BBQ, buckets and spades for the beach. A rotary clothes line is situated in the far corner of the garden.
The Old School House is a five minute walk from Mawgan village (one third of a mile). It has a great local shop/Post Office opening late every evening where you can buy a range of locally produced food and drinks. Their home baked bread and pastries are scrumptious.
The Ship Inn and restaurant, serving award winning food and a great range of local ales, is a ten minute walk away.
